Come and see us every Sunday - we got a mention in Scotland On Sunday for Ridleys squabbit pie - come and try for yourself:-)
Lots of quality foodstuffs! That’s what the new managers of the Stockbridge Sunday Market Edinburgh are bringing to the new location at Jubilee Gardens ( bordered by Saunders Street and Kerr Street)– because that’s what the discerning local customers have asked for. The market will open every Sunday from 10am-5pm from 11th September 2011, with future plans for Thursdays too, and will trade year round (obviously sometimes dependant on the Scottish weather!!).
The exciting new venture aims to bring lots of quality foodstuffs, so whether you’re looking for something special for supper, a continental style lunch, or planning a dinner party – the Stockbridge Market will have some new produce for you to try. How about some olives as an aperitif, quality meat, fish or game with locally grown vegetables, followed by a selection of French cheeses and nutty brown bread, and finish things off with some traditional crepe suzettes or 'latest craze' macaroons or home baked cakes.....
Our passionate small traders will not only explain how to cook and serve your choices – they’ll also have a range of accompaniments to complement your choices or to just to have in the fridge. Jams, pickles, pates and spreads galore – that only hard bit will be knowing what to choose!!
And its not just food thats planned...............we hope to have crafts, vintage clothes, jewellery ,CDs and who knows what else!
So join us beside the Water of Leith in Stockbridge. To market to market..... perhaps not to buy a fat pig – but to see what Stockbridge Market can bring to your doorstep.
